These products are essentially “new, 100 year-old” lumber. This may seem a contradiction
But the tree was cut 100 years ago and milled into structural lumber – mostly larger structural timbers used in the foundation or framing of the building. We remove them today after they have seasoned and dried for 100 years. This is important because this incredibly long seasoning period ensures that little or no warping or splitting will take place as the wood adjusts to its new home in your construction project or other use. This is a problem encountered when using newly-logged or “green” wood. We then take the larger timbers and mill them into new products made from ancient material. The colour and grain of this “like-new “ material will amaze. We concentrate on milling decorative products that maximize square footage and are for display in indoor or patio locations. However, if a customer needs large beams – for instance, an exposed beam construction application – we have those in our reclaimed lumber inventory and can mill these to your specs See the various sample photos of finished lumber and completed projects.
We maintain an inventory of certain popular products but can custom mill almost any lumber product. The products we normally carry in inventory are 1×4, 1×6, 2×4, 2×6, 2×8, 4×4”, 4×6, and 2” tongue and groove flooring.
